Fincoat Oy was established in 2005 by two founders. Since then, the headcount and the turnover, as well as our market area, have increased almost annually. Our main market area is Europe, but we also have business other areas like Turkey and Asia.
Fincoat is using the most modern technologies and high quality raw materials. The methods we use in hard coatings are thermal spraying and diffusion method.
Thermal spraying is versatile method where the surface properties (friction, erosion, corrosion resistance and non-stick) of dissimilar parts can be improved by using different kind of materials.
When using diffusion method the wear resistance, heat resistance and friction properties are improved.
These both methods together with our longstanding experience help us always to find the right coating solution. We make coatings in our Riihimäki factory but also as on-site at the customer’s mill.
Role in the AMPS project
Fincoat role in AMPS project is developing concepts and methods which are necessary to reach coating capacity for minimum 100MW/a SOFC stack production rate.
In coating process there are several details to be inspected, checked and develop to reach targeted industrial manufacturing volume.
