Unlocking the Potential of SOC Technologies for a Decarbonized Future
May 30th, 2025 – 10:00–12:30 (CET)
Online Event
We are pleased to announce the AMPS Workshop, an international online event organized by Politecnico di Torino in the context of the EU-funded AMPS project – Advancing Mass Manufacturing of Power-dense Solid Oxide Cell Stacks.
The workshop will focus on Solid Oxide Cell (SOC) technologies, a highly promising solution for the energy transition. SOC systems offer exceptional efficiency and versatility, operating both as:
Thanks to their high efficiency (up to 60% in fuel cell mode and 85% in electrolysis mode), fuel flexibility, and ability to be integrated in cogeneration systems, SOCs are gaining momentum for applications across sectors like steelmaking, ammonia production, biogas valorization, heavy-duty transport, and maritime shipping.
The AMPS project, supported by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, aims to accelerate the adoption of SOC technology by addressing key cost and scalability challenges. It focuses on:
The workshop will bring together leading researchers and industry representatives to discuss the state of SOC development, innovation in manufacturing, and real-world applications already being implemented across Europe and beyond.
Save the date – May 30th, 2025 – and join us for this deep dive into a technology that could transform our energy systems.
Registration and full program will be available soon!
